Blackberry pearl?

I am up for an up grade with verizon and I am not sure If I should get a blackberry pearl or enV? I am leaning towards the blackberry pearl. I like the design of the pearl better. but the enV has a qwerty keyboard. I would use the phone mostly for call

blackberry pearl cuz it looks nicer but if you need to use it more for texting i would say env.

Regarding Apple’s threat towards RIM and their popular Blackberry product line and franchise. The article pointed out how Apple has properly addressed many points that companies – including RIM – have failed to. One of the points was how Blackberry smartphones have generally remained the same since their creation.

Although Blackberry’s have evolved from the little pagers with a full keyboard underneath the two line screen to smartphones with half-decent screens with a scrollwheel on the side, and all the way up to iterations with little scrolling balls and trackpads, RIM has remained relatively in a “safe zone”. With the releases of the chic and consumer-directed flip phone (the Blackberry Pearl Flip) and two iterations of a touchscreen smartphone (the Blackberry Storm and the improved Storm 2), RIM has been experimenting.

BBLeaks has managed to get their hands on clear photos (take that, Mr. Blurrycam!) of a possible Blackberry slider, opening up an entire market for RIM. When closed, the phone is similar in size to the Blackberry Curve 8900, as shown below.

The RIM BlackBerry Pearl is the first BlackBerry to offer a 1.3-megapixel camera, music and video playback, expandable memory, and a mapping application. The super sleek phone also continues to offer superior push e-mail capabilities, EDGE support, and Bluetooth. It has a 2.25-inch TFT screen that displays 65,000 colors at a 240ื260-pixel resolution, offers a sharp, clear display with vibrant colors and is great for viewing e-mail, images, and Web sites.

It also features light-sensing technology, so it will automatically adjust the screen and keyboard depending on your environment; true enough, it adjusted the display’s light so that we could still read it in direct sunlight. You can change the screen’s theme; backlight time; and font size, style, and family. A small LED above the screen illuminates different colors for different status messages: green for wireless, blue for Bluetooth, red for new messages, and amber for low battery. There’s also a mute button on top of the device.
