3G is free in 3g Markets (think of it like a regular signal but faster speeds and better call quality). Also the fon will ONLY work on the $24.99 or $34.99 features. (To qualify for a discount for the fon, customer are required to keep the internet feature

March Smart Phone Madness Game 10: HTC HD2 vs. Motorola Cliq

I voted for the HTC HD2, mostly because it’s super-slick looking, ultra-thin, and a nice screen. Also, because I absolutely hate “slider” phones, with the goofy, clunky, slide out keypad. Give me a real keypad like most BlackBerry’s have or give me a nice virtual keypad like the HTC HD2 or the iPhone. Please, no moving parts on my cell phone … it cheapens the phone … just my opinion.

I think HTC HD2 will easily win this matchup, but will eventually get knocked out by the BlackBerry Tour or the BlackBerry Bold. BlackBerry users are very loyal, because the Tour & Bold are RIM’s best of the best and those two models just perform so efficiently & are made so indestructibly well.

I agree that it is a shame that the iPhone got knocked out so early in the competition, because it is without a doubt the best of the touch-screen phones. I am actually quite proud of Apple and it’s iPhone, even though I prefer RIM’s products. But I guess it’s main users, teenage girls, do not vote on tech websites very often. More of an ‘American Idol’ voter, I suppose. WinMo & Android are merely in a catch-up mode to Apple. Second class citizens, so to speak. The iPhone just had the unfortunate position of having been paired against one of the two powerful BlackBerry’s (Tour / Bold).
